Women in STEM Leaders is a network that is mainly focused on empowering women to pursue and gain ground footing in their respective STEM careers through technical and non-technical training.

Founder Ida Nganga leads the award winning Regional Consortium (of Experts) for Development who use technology and engineering as an enabler for achieving the SDGs (RCD Africa); and is the Regional Head, Anglophone Countries for UNESCO Emerging Technologies for Development, which is based in Bordeaux, France.

Ida is very active in the innovation ecosystem. She sits on a number of advisory boards such as: Global President, Startup Innovation – Global Council for the Promotion of International Trade; Africa Innovation Challenge – African Telecommunication Union (ATU); Leap Innovation HUBS – Global Peace Foundation; Digital Innovation Framework – International Telecommunication Union; Government – AFRINIC; New Africa Strategy – ICANN; and Online Safety & Security – Communications Authority.
She has held key roles in innovation competitions worldwide including the $1 Million HULT Prize and the $10 Million Afri-Plastics Challenge which is part of an $100 Million Fund by Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau.

She is Co-Chair, Internet4Dev Global Community and Ex Chairman, Membership & Outreach for Kenya for the Internet Society, the first woman to hold this position.
She is a Google partner and an Ambassador for Africa Code Week by SAP/UNESCO which has introduced over 10 M young learners to coding.

She is committed to putting a spotlight on startup development, innovation, youth mentorship, technology transfer, gender inclusion, stakeholder engagement & intercontinental collaboration.

Ida is one of the most awarded women in tech having received many accolades, such as IoT Innovation Award by European Union, Prolific Woman by United Nations, Timeless Woman Governance Award by UN Women, African Leadership Top Award ‘Outstanding Mentor’, Top 100 Global Women in Leadership Award by GCPIT, ISOC Africa Internet Development Fellow, Africa Rising – Women in Innovation, CIO Africa Most Influential Women in Tech, Future of Tech Women in STEM Award & 100 Most Influential Leaders in Tech 2023.

She is President of Women in STEM Leaders; and trainer in ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) digital leadership, intrapreneurship & artificial intelligence for social innovation, for all sectors.

She has trained and mentored great innovators and helped in the digital transformation of corporates and institutions.

Mentor Ida is a certified Carnegie behavioral science & transformational change coach, a Master Class Facilitator at Strategia Business School, Netherlands, and a much sought after global speaker known for her oratory prowess.
