InfoPoint conference: Edtech challenges and opportunities for inclusive, equitable and quality education

Education technology generates passionate debate. “Is technology leading the way for equal access to education through open educational resources and online distance learning?” or does it pose a grave threat by exacerbating existing inequalities – between and within countries? Does technology offer countless opportunities or is it reducing opportunities, taking us down a technology-dependent trajectory where quality education is dependent on the ability of learners to engage in self-guided learning or artificial intelligence? Should technology-related, including digital, competencies be embedded in young children’s care and education, or should children be protected from technology for their cognitive, social and emotional development?
